To find our waterfront hotel near the marina;
If coming from London on the A12 you will come to a roundabout on the outskirts of Ipswich (Toys R Us in front of you) turn right onto the A14 towards Felixstowe. Take the 1st turning off the A14 to Ipswich and Wherstead (A137). Head for Ipswich Town Centre.
If coming from Bury St Edmunds on the A14, do not take Ipswich West or the Ipswich Central, A12 London turning, stay on the A14. Take the next turning (A137) for Ipswich and Wherstead. Head for Ipswich Town Centre on the A137).
After 1½ miles you will come to a series of roundabouts, continue to head for the town centre. At the traffic lights, get in the outside lane and go straight across and over a river bridge. Stay in the outside lane and go straight at the first roundabout and take the 2nd exit at the next (turning to the right on the A1022, Star lane). Stay in the outside lane, a church will be on your right hand side. Continue on the outside lane and follow the brown and white tourist board signs to the Salthouse Hotel.
From Ipswich Rail Station
With Ipswich railway station to your right proceed along Burrell road at the traffic lights go straight ahead onto bridge street and over stoke bridge (keeping in the right hand lane) to the right of you there is a church, go right here – 2nd exit off the 2nd roundabout and around the one way system. Staying in the right hand lane, follow the brown and white tourist board signs for the Salthouse Harbour hotel.
