We’re turning 60 — but we’re not getting old, we're getting bolder. 

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, The Salthouse Harbour Hotel is beginning a bold new chapter. Between January and March 2026, our ground floor will undergo a full transformation, creating new spaces to dine, unwind and experience the waterfront in a whole new way.

Our bedrooms remain open throughout the works — with breakfast, drinks and a limited dining menu available via room service.

A Bolder Restaurant & Bar

The Salthouse has always been known for its art, its energy, and its unmistakable design. This refurbishment will raise that even higher, a total reimagination of our restaurant and creating the bar space we’ve always dreamed of.

Guests can look forward to pre-dinner drinks, cocktails after brunch, and evening nightcaps surrounded by low light, a great atmosphere and stunning harbour views.

Opening Late May 2026

Luxury — but fun. Scenic, social and effortlessly stylish. Our new Wet Spa will feature steam rooms and wet spaces overlooking the water offering the best views in Ipswich, as well as deep relaxation lounges and treatment spaces. 

This will be a spa experience like no other; buzzy yet serene, indulgent yet relaxed — a place to slow down, switch off and reconnect.
