British Brasserie

Salthouse is a British Brasserie and Bar on the Ipswich waterfront, offering casual luxury and all-day dining with warm, genuine hospitality. Inspired by Europe’s grand cafés and the character of our waterfront surroundings, the brasserie celebrates familiar dishes rooted firmly in British cooking.

Signature dishes include the seasonally changing Orwell Pie, the Salthouse Fishcake, local sausages with silky mash and ‘too much gravy’, and soft serve ice cream.

The space is bold, modern and vibrant – confident and welcoming from the moment guests arrive. Behind it all is an experienced, locally rooted team passionate about Ipswich and excited to help lead the town’s food and drink scene forward.

A work of art in itself, the bar is open from morning coffee through to late-night cocktails, set against a striking waterfront backdrop.

Begin the day with a perfectly brewed coffee as the harbour stirs to life, ease into afternoon drinks, or move into the evening with our list of liveners, cocktails and wines.

Warm and welcoming, it’s a space designed for hotel guests and locals alike — a place to meet, linger longer and soak in the view.

Fish, Chips and Sips pairs our crisp, golden fish and chips with a glass of the iconic Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

Monday to Saturday, 12pm–3pm.
